ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE
Our mission is born from the lack of access to proper equipment, instruction, and opportunities for talented students of all types.
So many talented students have no choice but to learn on their own, using equipment in dire shape, and yet they maintain a willingness to overcome. What if they had the opportunities to have great equipment, learn from professionals, and a way to showcase their talent?
We at G.I.F.T.S. want to provide these opportunities and create life changing experiences.
HISTORY
2015
Much of the G.I.F.T.S. leadership was directly involved with the education and instruction of talented students. During 2015, school funding across the nation was down, leading to a disparity in funding and support for talented students.
2016
In January of 2016, G.I.F.T.S. leadership and several outside partners started documenting cases in which lack of funding for students resulted in missed opportunities that negatively affected the students later performance.
Continued data collection from educators, students, parents and administrators was conducted to determine the best way to “close the gap” between public and private funding.
2017
In October of 2017, G.I.F.T.S. was officially formalized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The current focus of G.I.F.T.S. is to reach individuals, organizations and partners that are in need of help.
